OT: Clark, you are probably right once you look closer at the details/facts used. I believe the US does spend the most per student compared to other nations. My main point is that we may not be as cost-effective (efficient) with the use of our resources for education. However, on the flip side, US career salaries are higher and this puts pressure on the schools to raise teacher's pay to remain competitive (attract good teachers).
