I believe MasteryTV, Golfspan and the Dean campaign each contribute revenue per month to WaveXpress. How much is a guess at this point since WXP is a privately held company. There have been recent exchanges with management that other deals are "in the loop" (at the SHM last week). No one should base any trades on discussions, though. These additional deals will be a few more fingers in the dam, IMO.

WXP will come into its own when the TC infrastructure to handle such a powerfull service is in place. WXP requires certain things: security, attestation, timestamping, processing-power.

All of these are coming in the next 12 months (the last being the timestamping and processing.) If a movie is viewed and that viewing cannot be adequately timestamped, it is difficult to tell if it was viewed. Also a hollywood movie is a big file and needs fast processing. Until the processors are 64-bit, or can handle "bulk encryption" that SKS refers to (NGSCB), this model of content distribution is still unreachable.

WXP won't do much until 18 months from now, IMO. It is a service geared to models of distribution today that do not require security. But after 18 months from today, it will be a very powerful service with many applications:

- hollywood content
- games distribution
- distance learning
- disaster control/warning
- defense applications for the field units (broadcasting information, maps, topography securely)
- virus patch broadcasting
- etc

The key here is that content can be delivered to multiple users/PCs from one source.
