Whoa!! Where to start? I have tried to read all the post and catch up, I have tried to be fair and impartial when reading them.
I have several points I would like to make and a few questions, I will more than likely wizz a few off.
Point # 1: This was NEVER intended to be anything where ANYONE would benefit or profit from it in any way, shape or form. The discussion was first started on my board and from there, well you know.
#2 We don't need name calling, we all need to keep a level head.
#3 I am in no way shape or form associated with any newsletter or website other than my board at Ihub.
#4 I have been asked to join many newlsetters but have turned them all down because I have never wanted to be responsible for trying to persuade ANYONE into buying ANYTHING.
#5 I see the newsletters are picking up on it and sending them out to their readers and I don't know if that is good or bad.
#6 The website was volunteered BUT I personally did not like the pop up ad, I see it has been removed.
#7 GB in post # 377 you asked some valid questions "Is the petition seperate from MB and OTC boycott websites?"
I filled in the form at petition online, they have put a link to the petition there but to the best of my knowledge I don't see any way it could be shared since I'm the one that filled out the form.
#8 Guys, is your website
http://www.otcboycottboard.com
in any way harvesting e-mail addresses through cookies or any other means from anyone who is clicking on the site and if the answer is yes then I want to state I am 100% against it.
That's a valid question and not meant to slander or point fingers nor is anything implied, I would like an honest answer because if you are harvesting e-mail addresses then I would consider it for gain in some way. If the answer is no, good.
#8 Niz, your post # 360 is wrong, this was an idea that started on my board.
#9 GB go back and read the old post on my board and you will see exactly where and how it evolved, no wicked intentions here, no money being made here, no e-mail addresses being collected here, just a few of us who actually wanted to help in some small way.
# 10 GB you stated in post # 270 to Shac that he was was "walking a fine line here and he'd better consult an SEC attorney" yet in post number 340 you said if you had written it you would have included this:
BOYCOTT: Further if you would like to join some of us we are staging a BOYCOTT on OTCBB trading scheduled for September 24th to 26th, 2001. This is not mandatory to this petition but your voluntary support would show you are serious about voicing your concern. You are under no obligation to participate in the Boycott. We understand that during those days you may have some positions that move and if you do not trade them you would lose money. We are not about costing anyone money, we are out to be heard to stop the manipulation of the OTCBB market.
How is that any different than what we're saying? I just wish since you are aware of the many rules that you had started it yourself a long time ago or at the very least given us some guidance instead of waiting until all was said and done and telling us how wrong we are. Not mad at you or anyone else, just voicing my opinion.
A last thought, by definition a boycott means refuse to buy, sell or use something and I believe I have the right not to buy any OTC stocks on those three days, this is not in any way meant to be manipulative towards the market, it just means I'm not buying those three days, that's my unequivocal right as an American. The very first day I personally sent a letter to the SEC and gave them the link to this board just in case they wanted to monitor it, people with nothing to hide can do this. We're not being sneaky about anything here that I'm aware of but if I find out anyone is using it for personal gain I will be the first to speak out against it.
