i cant believe how often they screw up on these things....

even the friggin market makers are clueless at times.

there was one i had awhile back that had in their filings that they had done a reverse split and that the OS was so many shares.... then Knight filed a sched 13 saying they owned something like 10% of the OS. i called - i think it was the company (or transfer agent) and found out that the stock had not yet been split. (i shoulda checked the Daily List to see what they had recorded.)

but here you are... you got these market makers who folks assume know what they are doing and they clueless (or perhaps just cunning and playing dumb and using the filings to suck in the truly CLUELESS buyers).

it certainly pays to stay informed.

im getting older though and its kinda like tuning a volkswagon... it isnt all that difficult once you know the firing order, gaps, etc. its like may a 15 minute job. my problem is in the time between tuneups i forget the firing order, gaps, which way to rotate crank, etc and have to spend an hour or two rereading the manuel to make sure i get it right.
