Hilarious... A stock pumper (or promoter) is an individual or group that artificially inflates the price of a stock—usually a cheap penny or microcap stock—by spreading exaggerated, false, or misleading hype. Once the price is "pumped" up, the pumper sells ("dumps") their own shares at the inflated price, leaving unsuspecting investors with heavy losses when the stock inevitably crashes. How They OperateStock pumpers generally follow a two-step process to manipulate the market:The Pump: The pumper acquires a large position in a low-priced stock and begins a coordinated campaign to create a buying frenzy. They often spread rumors of fake "inside information," hyped-up press releases, or false claims of impending company breakthroughs. The Dump: As real investors buy in and drive the share price up, the pumpers quietly sell off all their own shares into the artificially high demand. When they stop hyping the stock, the demand disappears, and the share price plummets.
