I don't agree with you, I believe that FlaskWorks has been working hard all along. I don't know where people learned of the oversized model, but it does sound like it's true, I've got to believe they were trying to achieve faster units, but if too big to go through doors, if it couldn't greatly increase the time to generate a new batch it would be foolish, even if it could be moved in a few pieces.
I suspect that once they have a production model approved, they'll not stop with attempting to make improvements. Either the improvements will be made with upgrades to the existing units, or they'll roll out an EDEN Mk 2, or something like that. The vaccine will be the same, it will either take less time to get it, or it will be a smaller unit permitting more units in the same space. Perhaps they'll even build multiple units into a single package so more than one cassette can be inserted into stacked units utilizing just one plug, one battery, etc. making it easier to have many units in a relatively small space.
Right now, it's about qualifying what they have, producing a lot of them. Then they may work on improvements if they're deemed to be worthwhile. In the early 1960's I saw my first Xerox machine, it only produced black and white was about the size a coffee table, but much taller, and took about 30 seconds to make a copy, but I thought it was amazing. Now we have color ink jets that take little space that copy, fax, print from computer, phone, etc., scan and print double sided. I'm not suggesting that the EDEN can be miniaturized and simplified the way the original copier or computer was, but over time I expect improvements will be made.
One question in my mind has always been, does FlaskWorks market itself to other personal product developers and create devices for them, at a clear profit to NWBO, or do they leave it at products supporting NWBO's products alone?
