BBI, your post is a good example of how some (doctors or mechanics or whoever) can talk things up and really not know what they are talking about in full. It is surprising to me for it to be indicated to you that the office prescribes a lot of Vascepa and is not aware that there is a generic. That is probably the first question every patient asks the doc when they get prescribed a drug, looking for cheaper alternatives. So they should know.

CVS the pharmacy, is just a pharmacy. CVS Caremark is a PBM and that is who made some agreement with Amarin. But then there is also the insurance company. If I remember your original post you mentioned that your script was pretty cheap. Be interested to know what your cost will be when you get brand V. Also not sure about your insurer and what your plan covers. My BCBS FEHB insurance stopped covering V a couple of years ago and has not as of yet recommenced.
