Ruud, when I saw that the shorts didn't seek an exit strategy, but actually increased their position by nearly 3 million shares recently, I realized it's back to "game on" in a way we haven't seen in a couple years. (I am stunned to be honest, because I don't know how they don't see to potential to be torched in the process), but they've made their move. Yes, this will mean more attacks, volatility, deception and everything they can throw at longs to get them to sell out here. I will leave all my personal remarks on the sideline and simply say that way of making money at other's expense is sick, but I get that many simply don't have a conscience. Wait, I said something...
Ok, more importantly, we are having to weather the move from 16 back to 11. Is that it? They volume on the way down in the midst of shorting has been lower than it was during the rise ... (the chart looks good to from a 6 month or year perspective). So when do institutions step back in to accumulate, that's the question? In this sector now, we know that ANYTHING can change and in a moment. There are really big sharks swimming in these waters. (I agree with X that this will happen, and I think it only more likely as some big fish will want control... more and more, I think that will happen.) I think like you said, we are all waiting for news. Not sure what kind of news will be next, but I expect we won't be waiting much longer. Knowing Yves said this is the make or break year, and the ASM is literally around the corner, I imagine it will be soon. More importantly, as the first runs through the foundries culminate, I expect the news flow will only increase in the next 3-4 months.
These will be some fascinating (and maybe trying) days, but they will not pry shares away in manipulated volatility. Best to the longs,
