So why did I post this trade on Ihub? There are a few reasons: people always say why don’t you take some profit off the table? Well, in a small way, I am. I am willing to sell a few shares at $25 in two months, but I am not willing to sell them at $12.50 today.
Secondly, I wanted investors on Ihub to see how bullish high risk investors are right now. I could have sold 1,700 contracts at $.65 because that was the bid size. I think the odds of LW stock going above $25 on June 18th is very low and I was very happy to risk a very small % of my shares that the stock would stay below $25 for this period. However, note that I could have sold the $20 strike options for $1.30 and gotten twice as much cash now, but chose not to do that.
It is my stated intention to hold most of my shares for many years to come. This is a fascinating story about a few visionary chemists who were convinced they could solve the many problems inherent with polymers. It took them a very long time and the market demand was ready yet. But the plan all came together at the right time and a few great businessmen grabbed the reins and are building a real business. I just want to read the last chapter of this novel.
