If you had told longs in 2021 there'd be no customers five years on, you'd have been shouted down and screamed at (as you would be whenever expressing any skepticism), but you'd also have been right.

So, I will pose a question now. The company is currently valued at $2 billion dollars, with no customers in place. The company also has, let's be extremely charitable here, a questionable history when it comes to truthfully communicating with its shareholders.

Lightwave's polymers are now in a race with 1) other polymers 2) incumbent technologies 3) TFLN 4) InP 5) other exotic materials. No one here has even close to the requisite scientific or industry knowledge to assess which the likely winner or winners will be, and what that might be look like (e.g. in terms of timing of deals, commercial terms, profit margins, market share).

Despite having almost no understanding, there is no doubt among longs that this is the holy grail. Even the fact everyone was wrong on every prediction about the company for years and years does not limit the zealous belief (e.g. on share price, revenue, market cap, Lebby, commercial and technical progress)

This is what some coin as 'magical thinking', and this a cult.
