Questions:
1. Do longs have the honesty to admit they won the lottery, investing in a company that went up 4000% during the 'everything bubble' on no news whatsoever?
2. How were longs able to maintain a fanatical conviction in the company's prospects whilst simultaneously having zero understanding of the technology, competition, industry, technical and commercial hurdles and general business landscape? Isn't that just an idiotic, child- like blind faith ('ignorance is bliss'), and a cult mindset?
3. Over a 5 year period, as the share price went from $20 to $1 every single prediction on price, market cap, revenue, technical and commercial progress was proven totally, radically wrong. At the same time, anyone showing skepticism was shouted down ('short!') despite concerns being valid. What does this say about investors' understanding and judgment?
4. The company is valued at $1.5b despite having no customer contracts in place and with less revenue than the local bodega. How could anyone think this is a good deal?
5. There are hundreds of early stage technology companies out there, how could anyone rationally choose one with a track record of misleading, exaggerating and overall stringing its shareholders along year after year?
6. Yet again, euphoria consumes everyone. We've been here before. But there are multiple competing technologies in the space (and even competing companies within polymers). How can everyone be so confident despite having so little understanding of all the ways this can go wrong, and the track record over the year showing no one here really has a clue?
