What Bibi's coalition of lunatics like Ben-Gvir would like is to nuke Iran and be done with them once and for all. That still may be what happens, as things escalate. The scenarios would include Iran hitting Dimona (or a false flag nearby), and Israel retaliates with nukes. Alternately, US ships are hit, or something happens domestically in the US (real or false flag), and Trump freaks out and nukes Iran. Or some combination. But while Trump has been morphing into a quasi Caligula, it's hard to imagine him actually nuking Iran, so that would presumably have to come from the Bibi side.

Short of nukes, a true regime change would require a full invasion and occupation of Iran. Trump isn't going to do that regardless of what Bibi wants. Military experts also point out that the US no longer has the ground forces available for a full invasion ala the 2003 Iraq War, and Iran is a much bigger and has over twice the population of Iraq, and an army of ~ 1 million. For the US to attempt a full invasion would take months and months of preparation, and meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz is still closed and the world economy goes into full depression. So the full invasion strategy is a non -starter.

The way to bring Iran to heel would be to - 1) cut off their oil / gas export revenue (by controlling or bombing Kharg Island, destroying oil / gas infrastructure on the mainland, etc), while 2) simultaneously re-opening the Strait open for non-Iranian ships. But this won't work as long as Iran has the missiles and drones to keep the Strait closed, and to hit infrastructure in the other Gulf States.

So it all boils down to those Iranian missiles, drones, and hypersonic missiles. As long as those are there, the Strait can't really re-open without US escort ships being hit / sunk, and the missile attacks continuing to hit the other Gulf States.

Bottomline, it looks like the US has reached the outer limit for 'the stick'. Too much stick (and erratic, mercurial, untrustworthy leadership) and the world wants to escape the US orbit even more (jail break), So BRICS / de-dollarization accelerate and the debt laden US Empire unravels even faster.
