Yes, they are calculated the same way for every company, which is why I said it might be a relative measure against other boards. What you missed is that I believe HOW the stats are covered isn't likely an accurate measure in terms of raw numbers, because nobody on this board knows how those numbers are derived. So sure, I believe BIEL is at number 7. What I don't believe if that the 'hundreds of thousands' of reads is meaningful on its own. For all your or I know about it, twenty people reading this board could generate thousands of reads - because you or I or anyone else do not have an idea as to what generates a 'read'. For all any of us know, every minute someone is logged in could count as a 'read', or every second. I leave this site up (as I do a number of sites) 24 hours a day. If every second is calculated as a read....well you get the picture. The raw numbers don't make sense.
Again - it isn't a personal thing, so NO the notoriety doesn't bother me. Since I own shares, I wish there were hundreds of thousands of individuals reading this board. Clearly that isn't the case. More clearly - it doesn't translate into buys, or an increased PPS. THAT ought to bother every shareholder.
What matter is deals (got one), sales (got some numbers but still a lot TBD, and profits, among other things. What doesn't seem to matter is board reads.
