Capitulation. Dipping a toe back into the muck here.

I got totally out of AVXL with huge losses after the initial CHMP decision but have been hovering and keeping up the board and all things AVXL. The withdrawal of the European application today was certainly expected by most for many reasons that have been thoroughly discussed. I won't consider staking out a new position until two things happen: (1) Missling either resigns or is fired and (2) additional trials in AD or other indications are started pursuant to confirmed feedback from FDA.

I never had any confidence in Missling after all his missteps over the years including his disastrous communications skills. But I did believe the science was promising and might prevail. I suppose it still might eventually but first things first--Missling has to go. I hope and expect that to happen very soon.

I took the proceeds from liquidating AVXL and added further to my gold and silver commodity positions that had doubled before the recent price pullback in March when the Iran conflict began.
