Recently, quantum expert, Professor Tim Palmer of Oxford University said it is possible that no more than 1000 qubits can be maintained in coherence due to the descretization limits of Hilbert space: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2510.02877 The science of this proposed view is testable and has been accepted for publication. That would mean quantum computing would be limited, and that 2000-bit RSA decryption is not something quantum computing would be able to solve.
