At first glance it may seem like the the central company automatically prevails over subsidiary rights regarding PE, but that is not necessarily the case especially cross border. Each venue has it's own rules and laws. I have set up any number of holding companies and subsidiaries, to protect against everything from nationalization to IP infringement. If nothing else, it cerates another hurdle to overcome.
