My goodness. Busy day. Did my taxes, and now it's time for tv. But just had to throw out a few interesting developments.

Newt Gingrich acknowledged today that he was having an extra-marital affair at the very time he led the charge to impeach Bill Clinton for the Lewinsky affair. But Newt doesn't see it as hypocrisy.

House Democratic leaders vowed Thursday to pass binding legislation setting a deadline of Sept. 1, 2008, for the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq. Bush plans to veto.

Over 6,000 Brazilians protested Bush's visit today. Police had to use tear gas.

There's a new state-of-the-art nursing and rehab center being built in Yountville, Ca that will house 40 or 50 severely injured Iraq vets. But it had to be built using all private funding, because the government won't pay a penny for it.

The White House website still proudly proclaims Cheney's participation in the conference where keynote speaker Ann Coulter called John Edwards a faggot. Cheney hasn't condemned Coulter, nor said a single word about it.

But they did manage to find a picture of Cheney that doesn't make him look like a nasty bastard.
