The transcript includes a full slide presentation regarding the DCVax-L Phase III trial results, along with the Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
Dr. Al Musella asked Dr. Liau a lot of questions that were submitted by viewers online, including the following question:
do you happen to know how many patients who took DCVax-L at any point are still alive today?
Here is Dr. Liau’s answer:
there are about 25 in the Phase 3 trial, and I think we have about 25 from our own trials. Then there was an expanded, you know, there was a compassionate use arm done during the trial as well, and I think there are probably a dozen or so patients in that who are still alive
According to my calculations that would make a minimum of 62+ long-term GBM survivors who were still alive because of DCVax-L:
DCVax-L Phase III survivors = 25 UCLA trial survivors = 25 Compassionate Use Survivors = 12+ Total LongTerm Survivors = 62+
