Just checked > my TOS "Web" works as normal (rare to use it here)
TOS "Desk App" Has worked as Normal with exception of Log In "note" of Win 10 support > bypass and is Normal operations

I want to use it as a backup. Luckily, I have not had a computer breakdown in over 20 years, but one never knows. Best Buy wanted $140 to do the transfer anyway. By buying the software, I can take my time and do my own set up and transfer. This is a good time to really clean up my files. >>

Good Idea >> Assume you can transfer Excel data stuff and transfer whatever over to new laptop without too much problem
and as you mentioned take your time to do it. i DID Not see that MS365 was onetime fee for "single" unit and multiple was $99 (annual)
Maybe they changed that as of late OR that was combined with a New purchase of Laptop or Desktop

I have a Dell 15.6" laptop but nowhere close to that capability. "That said" I have had zero issuses
with it
