I don’t need this site anymore to understand that my investment is over 90% de- risked. In other words the chances of losing our investment altogether are completely gone. That’s a reassuring situation and we can now lean back and let things play out. The share price will reflect the real company value in time.
Meanwhile we know more about this company and the industry than many a banker or Wallstreet professional knows. Nowadays even my private bankers ask me for advice. We are clearly - as retail investors - ahead of the curve and I like that.
As for Lightwave, many emphasized it , the company has ‘ its US home grown’ patented material, its offerings are future proof and unique, it has seasoned leadership, it has secured ample funding, no debt , it is listed on the Nasdaq , it’s business potential is enormous and it has enlisted at least 2 global Fortune 500 companies, one to develop pluggable transceivers, one to develop co- packaged optics, cutting edge. You don’t need to dig deep to understand which companies are in play. I am 99% sure I know which companies are in phase 3.
I believe this board is now more for entertainment than anything else. Serious long term investors should by now understand what they hold and don’t need more input from this board,
Yves statement regarding thr replacement of “traditional laser technology” refers to conventional discrete semiconductor laser-diode based transceivers. In other words: the “traditional laser technology” is replaced by photonic integrated circuits built on silicon. This is the dominant market trend. Forget the rest. Of course this will hurt and create an unseen sense of urgency at traditional transceiver companies for change. Globaldemand for high-speed optical modules (e.g. 100G, 400G, 800G) remains huge, meaning there’s still business for traditional module makers even as silicon photonics grows. But the 1. 6 Market and above is now seen tripling by 2030 as Light Counting predicts. That’s the new market reality and that will require even faster execution and shorter development cycles than the conventional ones used by Yves for his update. Looking foreword to meaningful revenue in 2026.
