FWIW, I don't that aspect of the trial has been overlooked at all. But, the counterpoint is that AD has 6m patients in the EU and 500 people may not have been a large enough N to surface significant safety issues. I don't think it is likely there are any, but that is the way regulators think. In addition, running another 500-750 patient confirmatory trial seems like it should have been a no-brainer...so, again, the regulator asks itself: why wasn't one run?
