Buying chips that become worthless is to be avoided. The "dealer" (Kludge-the-Stooge) scammed everyone at the table. Watching the game, rather than buying in, was obviously the right choce.

It's like you're loitering in the back alley after getting ripped off, the scammers (kludge, Ben, Cashking) drove off into the night, and you imagine they will come back and return the money you gambled away in the game. A "bit" naive.
