It’s not manipulation when it’s the entire market or a major sector of the market. People have convinced themselves and then others that tech stocks are bubbled. The manipulation does occur when certain high dollar players start talking bubble and shorting and getting talking heads to put them on TV so they can cast doubt. It can’t be a coincidence that two weeks ago Butty came out with his short/bubble call. Why do we even know about it? Oh, because he’s the guy that shorted housing in 2007/2008 so he must be right.
