One question, could NWBO have changed its symbol with the merger/takeover of advent? If so, why didn't they to force short squeeze now?

That theory is just flat out wrong. The change does not force any sort of forced settlement of open short positions, the accounts all transfer.

Same was said when NWBO left the NASDAQ for the OTC. That would force covering and create a short squeeze. And then there was a much higher short interest as a percent of shares. Both reported and per the SoS/LG reported crap numbers.
