I am struck by the fact that Biogen and, I believe, Lilly gained $20B market cap basically overnight in expectation of AD revenues when, in fact -- based on the mab clinical trial selection criteria -- just a small percentage of AD patients would ever be eligible to receive the medications. This was available information at the time if anyone had thought to look.

I am not impressed with the level of homework all that "smart money" put into their buy decisions then, and I am equally not impressed by the "smart money" shorting happening now.
