As of next week we'll be at the point where the last person to enter the Phase 3 trial did so 10 years ago. I don't know that data on 10-year survival is wanted by the regulators, but some seem to think that the regulators want to see it. I would hope that it could be delivered practically instantaneously as only a few at most people would have begun the trial a matter of days or weeks before, if they're alive, it shouldn't take a monumental effort to know. Others who've lived longer, perhaps many years longer, could have their status verified well in advance of this date.
I don't believe the company, or regulators, will ever say why it's taking so long, but if those who believe it's the 10-year data, then hopefully we'll have a decision shortly.
