Is it possible that an MA (of any sort) triggers an agreement that has already been negotiated between Anavex and a BP (Roche, Sanofi, etc.) where they take a significant stake at a high share price valuation or buy out Anavex completely?

I definitely agree with the “take a significant stake at a high share price…” part. Receiving an MAA would justify the high share price to the BOD. Also a seat or two on the BOD would normally be created for the partner(s)

Is this why trials are paused - why PD has not started - because the BP wants to manage those trials?

Your scenario is very plausible but I honestly think Dr. Missling wants to run these trials and “feed” approvals into the partners, at least until prophylactic use is achieved. BP has a way of screwing up trials with slow lethargic decision processes. If I were the lucky BP that won the bidding process I would weigh in at the Board level but let current management continue knowing that one approval, for AD alone of all disease’s, justifies our MOA. The rest of ghe approvals come easier imo even if slightly less hurdles to clear.
