Liz40, as SDL has been posting for several months Amarin is cleaning house to start the BO process. Sounds like they want to retain the basic team necessary with the most experience to help with the preparations. By canceling the buyback with only 20mill plus shares outstanding, it improves the chance of a higher buyout price. If they went through with the buyback, it would have decreased the shares outstanding; therefore, fewer shares to exchange if the deal is done with stock and cash.
