Ahhhhh, but now many Mac users, including me, use the Outlook suite for Mac. I do like most of it. And THAT, at least, is still free. And better than it once was.

I need Word for the person I sometimes write for. She uses and likes Word.

Mac has its own Pages, which I've never tried. Most professional writers use Word.

It didn't even occur to me to bring up the Outlook suite before simply because I tend to think of it as being, in a way, a part of Mac. Which of course it's not. But it works, and it's convenient.
