Yep, NWBO is the king maker for combos and Direct will be the King. In the mean time, combos will be the lifesaver for some companies. We have discussed the unwanted possibility by big pharma of a bidding war for rights to outright ownership of NWBO on this board because that would end up being devastating to the loosers. So it seems NWBO basically is proposing dividing up the indications L is used in based on its patent protection for combos where that patent protection has been granted. As I recall, the US has not granted full patent protection for combos yet but others have. So who here thinks that might have something to do with big pharma influence?; ).
Getting approval outside of the United States first allows combo usage to be controlled in countries where there is combo patent protection and what company is going to stop selling their product to folks who have access to both their product and murcidencel with the risk that other products could take their place where the combo is governed by patent protection and NWBO has the upper hand in negotiating combo license fees?; ). Much better to get that worked out early or folks will go to where they can get access to what they want for as cheap as possible and the least amount of red tape. Best wishes.
