Re AUPH. I dont think it's a personal issue with Tang . Its not uncommon for risks for some patients to show up once the drug is used by thousands . Omonty ? was approved for dialysis patients and wife's renal dept decided to wait a year before using it. After about 20,000 uses of the drug ...1 patient went into shock ..directly related to the drug and died. .Then another several mths later . Drug was withdrawn , Co went bankrupt.
February 2013: Manufacturers Affymax and Takeda Pharmaceuticals issued a voluntary recall of all lots of Omontys. Recall reason: The recall was due to post-marketing reports of severe hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis. The allergic reactions were most often reported within 30 minutes of a patient's first dose. In some cases, these reactions were fatal.
So AUPH may have been " safe " for the 3,000 in their pivotal trial . Doesnt mean it's safe for ALL the next 30,000 that may use it . It does have a Boxed warning on the label .
Fosrenol does not have a Boxed warning ...and neither should OLC JMO Kiwi
