I think the real question is how will NWBO implement the Franchise model. I don't know the mechanism for implementation but we can ask ourselves, in general, how does a franchise work? Well, we can only get McDonald hamburgers from a McDonalds restaurant. I speculate that DCVax-L for production can only be obtained from a Franchisee, like Merck or AstraZeneca or Roche or others. Maybe you can't get DCVax-L for off label use; otherwise BPs would have a way around NWBO's franchise model. Getting DCVax-L only from a franchisee means the franchisees will be watching/regulating who gets DCVax-L. Maybe the only time you can get DCVax-L for off label use is for GBM. NWBO will have a monopoly for GBM treatment; other BPs will be treating all other cancer indications except GBM. I really don't think there will be a way around the franchise model that NWBO chooses to implement whatever it is.
