There was an update by one. At the EULAR annual meeting, Rui Therapeutics shared data on its anti-CD19 CAR-NK cell therapy (HD-derived) for SLE. The trial enrolled and treated twenty-seven, including sixteen SLE patients with severe renal involvement and eight with severe hematologic involvement, all of whom were refractory to multiple immunosuppressants and biologic agents.
Based on SRI, LLDAS, and DORIS (2021) criteria, among the thirteen participants with over twelve-month follow-up, the SRI response rate was 100%, the LLDAS response rate was 76.9%, and the DORIS remission rate was 69.2%. Those achieving DORIS remission maintained remission without relapse for up to over twenty-one months of follow-up. All demonstrated significant and sustained improvements in SLEDAI-2K and PGA scores, with no relapses reported.
Also, they revealed the clinical research progress in treating systemic sclerosis. Six systemic sclerosis patients receiving the therapy showed positive clinical benefits up to nine months of follow-up, including significant improvements in the American College of Rheumatology Provisional Composite Response Index in Systemic Sclerosis (ACR-CRISS) and the modified Rodnan Skin Score (mRSS).
