I find $10,000 cash and $10,000 stock is a minimum starting amount. With 10% safe and $5% minimum order size that gives you a $500 trade and a minimum $75 profit.

That is the smallest amount I want to earn for the trouble of the record keeping.

On the upper end that depends on how large your account is and how many positions you want to be bothered with. There is no maximum.
