I know their task in life, I did do a fund with some knock around cash that was earning 4% or so of taxable interest that matches the index while spinning off tax losses, expectations would be whatever the index does up/down but with a 10k short term deduction. So the $10k deduction would save 35% dollars going out the door. I did domestic because of all of the new businesses moving here, she liked foreign though.

How it works is ,,,, for instance if coke is down on particular day sell, take the loss buy Pepsi then 31 days back to coke, same Home Depot Lowes etc and you own the shares of that company not an index.

We spoke about Lightwave, "we have many clients here that hold that on a personal level", I threw down some names, she just nodded. I briefed her on Asia, new hires, how Nvdia needs this and the new China sales team. Good meeting, not pushy at all.
