Yes, coins are different. They're supposed to be shiny, Never handled, ideally. But most kinds of household silver are meant to be used daily.

Copper. God. My mother liked copper. And I got to clean it. It tarnishes in about ten seconds. Some people shellac it, but that looks shitty. I like its nice pink color. But I did not enjoy cleaning it. Now that would be a job for Soft Scrub. But it tarnishes SO quickly.
