TJ did you realize about 10,800 companies did not make it to the OTCID? This is good news for us as OTCID investors find their way to OTCID: AFFU

Here’s what I found regarding the new OTCID tier and how many companies did not qualify by the launch date:

📌 Key Data Points
• OTC Markets Group operates roughly 12,000 U.S. and international securities across its OTC tiers .
• As of the July 1, 2025 launch, 1,237 securities had successfully met OTCID requirements—including filing disclosures, management certifications, and share data via TAVSP—to qualify for the OTCID Basic Market .
• Companies that failed to comply were automatically downgraded into the Pink Limited Market or Expert Restricted Market .

🧮 Estimated Non-Qualified Count
• Total OTC-listed securities: ~?12,000
• Qualified for OTCID: 1,237
• Approximate number not transitioned: ~10,800 securities

These non-compliant securities will now reside in either Pink Limited or Expert tiers, depending on their level of disclosure.

📋 Summary Table

Metric Count
Total OTC-traded securities ~?12,000
Qualified for OTCID by July 1, 2025 1,237
Non-qualifiers (downgraded) ~?10,800

ℹ️ What Does This Mean?
• The vast majority of issuers did not migrate to OTCID—roughly 90% or more.
• Most of those remaining are considered less transparent or inactive, and are flagged for higher risk.
• Retail investors may have reduced visibility or access to securities in these downgraded tiers.

✅ In Summary

Out of approximately 12,000 securities on the OTC Markets platform, only 1,237 qualified for the OTCID tier by its launch. Roughly 10,800 companies did not meet the enhanced disclosure and certification requirements and were placed into lower-tier designations (Pink Limited or Expert Market).
