There is a common misconception that the current share price is low.

At this stage of the EU regulatory process, if AVXL's data is holding up under review, then the current share price is extremely low. All one has to do is look at the market cap valuations awarded to other other companies once their AD candidates completed their Phase III trials. $20 billion is that historical figure but since AVXL is only before the European commission, $10 billion might be a more appropriate benchmark. AVXL's stock price is a function of the huge short interest that has effectively capped the stock price.
