Beartrap, no argument there. Litigation is a waste of all those things and I dealt with all of them probably a couple of hundred or so over 30 years of dealing with homeowners claims anywhere from adjuster up through regional manager and even as an expert witness on behalf of another insurer. The question is why you think providing an update would result in a lawsuit? MHRA has several actions they can take to punish or correct a company, but resorting to litigation is extremely rare. I did a quick check and only found a couple the last few years, one for fraud and the other over the strength of a medication that was falsified. A dollar penalty is the strongest penalty normally used. Granted, not desirable, but a bad headline at this point wouldn't be a killer, at least in my opinion. I actually at least an attempt of one upon announcement of approval by AF and some of his cohorts.
