Nope, you can try redirecting all you want, but the MHRA owns the time frame. You know the saying, "when there's a will, there's way." You're right, 16 months is a damn long time by any measure. So what do we have? We have a first of its kind cell therapy, which includes a first of its kind manufacturing process.
What would I expect from a competent regulator? Anticipation, preparation, and execution. Does all the publicly available information suggest that the MHRA did that? NO! IMHO. I would go so far as to say, that things were handled ad hoc, with a severe lack of leadership and proper guidance! It's like throwing an intern into a chaotic job, and saying, there's your training, you'll have to learn on the job!
It's the complete opposite of what LP did, and continues to do so instinctively. Performing at a high level consistently is a testament to her unshakable willpower. It's the kind of thing that happens with no fanfare, where frustrated investors can easily overlook or take for granted.
It's not until that kind of innovation meets head to head with an antiquated, bloated, inefficient albatross, that appears to have looked to NWBO, as its model, to build their lofty goals around, which according to the MHRA'S own PR is new territory happening in real-time.
