The good news is that the deportations will open up the rental market for lower-income people.
Around here, the Latinos, whom I believe NOT to be legal, have taken over the rental properties formerly rented to Blacks for decades.
There is going to be a lot of poverty in the decade ahead in this area if (1) food and rental costs don't come down; (2) AI replaces low-paying jobs; and (3) general inflation continues, and IT WILL. Oh, yes, if something isn't done to reverse the extortionist electric rates.
My future might be 6 and 1/2 months in Florida, and 5 1/2 months in Maryland.
That would take care of the high winter electric bills and the State personal income tax.
