You mean what the staff told the stupid reporters. But that was not your point.

I'm afraid the same thing was reported by everyone. Because that was what the White House said. Trump always says he's applying "reciprocal tariffs" because we have trade deficits with every other country in the world.

Yes, that is mindblowingly stupid, but don't blame ME for it.
