You are correct - there is NO tie into Alpine having any sort of hidden short position in DBMM. But if he can keep the fantasy alive by intimating there IS some sort of huge DBMM naked short position in Alpine? That will be exposed if they are driven into bankruptcy and that it will create some sort of squeeze? Then he has done his job.

For myself, I am nearly 100% positive that such a position does not even EXIST. I am actually hoping that the demise of Alpine comes sooner rather than later, just so we can end all this silliness.

But even when Alpine finally goes BK and it shown that it has NO short position in DBMM? And NOTHING happens to the share price of DBMM? The fanatical longs here will simply choose another entity that must have the huge fantasy "naked short" position. Then we'll all have to wait for THAT to fail.

Like Krombum and his shadowy overseas entities that supposedly have the lion's share of the short position. Another scenario that cannot POSSIBLY be proven, and so is a perfect crutch for the desperate longs to seize upon.

It's a never-ending fairytale, here in DBMM land.
