Mark Lutkowitz said, There is only one reason for my change in attitude about the firm -- the execution abilities of the new CEO
Mark, what you just said here means YOU LIED in the comment found below where in addition to your belief in Yves, you CLEARLY said that the SEA CHANGE in your attitude towards LWLG Polymers was because I have also become a believer in the need for customized hybrid PICs opening the door to new platforms.
Yes, the mob has just been wonderful when it came to their impact on the optics industry....There is only one principal reason for my change in attitude -- the new CEO and his undeniable track record for credibility, his keen understanding of the optics space, and his experience in making business deals. Yves was a high-level executive when Oclaro, which was on the verge of bankruptcy, came back to be a powerful player (later bought by Lumentum). He simply would not have taken on this role at Lightwave Logic without a very high level of confidence in success -- there is simply no doubt in my mind about that point. I have also become a believer in the need for customized hybrid PICs opening the door to new platforms. As with any new material, there will still be challenges ahead including the inherent technological drawbacks of a particular material. I will continue to ask tough questions regarding any assertions made by the firm that I do not find to be totally in line with my understanding of the truth. The momentum clearly remains with TFLN, but polymers are now in second place, as the major players in AI will be reluctant to leave that much bandwidth on the table.

And remind me again who WON the Hybrid Optical Integration award the last two years running at ECOC voted by Industry Insiders? oh yeah, that would be LWLG!!!!
The company’s (LWLG) innovative efforts were recognized at ECOC 2024, where Lightwave Logic received the Industry Award for Most Innovative Hybrid PIC/Optical Integration Platform. This accolade, bestowed by a committee of industry peers, marks the second consecutive year the company has won this award, reflecting the market’s recognition of their technological advancements.
Mark, you also continue to tout TFLN as if it is better/more viable solution than LWLG Polymers for which I must assume you are being PAID to promote this idea because you are CLEARLY WRONG!!!! This has been proven over and over and over here!!!!! here
TFLN loses to LWLG Polymers in EVERY important metric!!!!
Any new material to be successful must be FUTURE PROOF and good for MULTIPLE GENERATIONS!!!
- TFLN is TOO LARGE so it is IMPOSSIBLE for CPO!!!
- TFLN will NOT be good for speeds above the current 800/1600!!!
- TFLN operates at 2V and does NOT eliminate the DRIVER!!!!
- TFLN has a COMPLEX process in Foundries and it also carries significant risks to CONTAMINATION in the Foundries!!!!
- TFLN has SUPPLY ISSUES as the great majority of the material is single sourced and from China!!
worth another LQQk, The foundry ecosystem is ready to produce, Our material is much easier than TFLN
