TJ what if MTi Mingothings is planning on buying thethings.io from Diprotech or maybe even buying Diprotech before the merger is completed?
Just a thought, maybe not but there is a lot going on in this space and many companies are teaming up one way or another either by partnering or merging to stay in this market and or to become the market leaders.

TheThings.io was founded on June 27, 2013
by José Manuel Pérez Sevilla and Marc Pous
It started as an enterprise loT platform designed to simplify the process of connecting devices to the internet, offering backend solutions for storage, analytics, and interoperability

Over time, TheThings.io gained traction, securing funding-including a €250,000 round of business angel investment in 2015 to expand its platform

The company was later acquired by Diprotech, a firm specializing in hardware and firmware, to enhance its loT offerings

Today, TheThings.io continues to provide customizable dashboards, real-time monitoring, and cloud-based loT solutions, helping businesses streamline their connected device operations

Diprotech's acquisition of TheThings.io
brought significant changes to the platform. TheThings.io, originally focused on providing enterprise loT solutions, has now expanded its offerings under Diprotech's leadership. The acquisition allowed Diprotech to integrate TheThings.io's capabilities into its hardware and firmware expertise, creating a more comprehensive loT ecosystem

With Diprotech's backing, TheThings.io has gained access to a broader global network and partner ecosystem, accelerating its growth and enhancing its ability to deliver end-to-end loT solutions

TheThings.io continues to provide customizable dashboards, real-time monitoring, and cloud-based lot services, but now with stronger support for hardware integration

Overall, the acquisition has strengthened TheThings.io's position in the loT industry, enabling it to offer more robust and scalable solutions to businesses looking to streamline their connected device operations

Diprotech is a technology company specializing in hardware, firmware, and software development. It provides consulting services and supports businesses in their digital transformation journey. The company has expertise in embedded systems, Al, and loT solutions, helping organizations deploy scalable and flexible connected products

Regarding Mingothings, there is no indication that it is acquiring Diprotech.
However, Mingothings itself was recently acquired by Affluence Corporation, a Smart City Software and lot technology company
This acquisition aims to expand Affluence's market reach and integrate Mingothings' loT solutions into its portfolio

There is no public information suggesting that Diprotech is planning to spin off or sell TheThings.io
Diprotech acquired TheThings.io to expand its lot offerings and integrate its hardware and firmware expertise into the platform
The company has expressed commitment to growing TheThings.io, leveraging its global network and partner ecosystem

The loT industry has seen several notable acquisitions over the years. Here are a few significant ones:

Amazon acquired Evi - A technology firm specializing in semantic search engines and knowledge bases

Comcast acquired LEVL Technologies
- ??A device intelligence and identification platform focused on balancing user privacy and network visibility

XL Axiata Tbk acquired Hypernet Technologies - A company providing digital communication, IT security, internet, and cloud services

IBM acquired HashiCorp - Known for its Terraform infrastructure?automation tool, this acquisition strengthened IBM's hybrid cloud and Al offerings

IBM announced plans to acquire?DataStax - A move aimed at boosting

IBM's generative Al capabilities, leveraging DataStax's AstraDB and Langflow platforms

These acquisitions reflect the growing importance of Al, cloud computing, and cybersecurity in the loT space.
