Exactly. People here are apparently inexperienced with pivotal trials, which is why they don't understand how unusual it is to conduct one this way.

A neater question: why switch the primary endpoint? Hint: not pseudoprogression; during the time they enrolled most of the patients into the trial, criteria to address pseudoprogression were already in wide use.

It's why we in the oncology world have not talked about pseudoprogression as a legitimate issue in clinical trials since around 2015/2016.
