Money was limited. After a couple of beers i thought to try another place. Had a Wendy's (small) burgher $9, so was up to just over $30. Then decided to go through security, for me good to do that early, then walked and more to find gate. Then found another bar, asked what they had and since i was in Vancouver the Stanley Park Sunsetter sounded apt .. https://www.bcliquorstores.com/product/972422 . Looked like a pint. Then with still hours to go decided to wander the 3rd floor, discovered it was about a mile long. Then back to the gate i would eventually go through. Sat there for about a tough half hour then back to the Sunsetter bar , ordered a beer, sat down and realized i had lost my phone. Almost panic, but what's the point. LOL Had the bartender mind the beer and hauled myself back to the gate where gadzooks, there the phone was sitting dutifully on the chair beside the one i had been sitting on. Huge sigh, and back to the bar. That took about half hour. The pint was about $16 dollars, which left me with about $20 only so had one more, leaving little change to travel to Vancouver with. Dallied and got back to the gate with about 1.5h to spare, hate standing in lines. It was pouring rain on arrival in Sydney, long lines for taxi (didn't want to bother the friend who took me there initially) and left my visa card in the taxi. After a few hellos here i hit the GG where a lovely lady helped to contact the cab company. Day 2 home i waited mostly outside for the cab driver to return the card, then up to the pub to get his reward, then what else but imbibe. Day 3 yesterday i got to the eye hospital 45min late after sleeping in, and spent 5h there. The wet macular drug is working to cut the pool of fluid from the naughty, tiny abnormal blood vessels so i have been accepted into the AMA implant .. https://www.sydney.edu.au/save-sight-institute/our-research/macula-research/clinical-research-unit.html .. trial. Surgery to implant the implant set for May 28. Have to go in twice, 13th and 23rd, before then. LOL Struggling to manage, but am ... just.
