No, that's not what the column says. The column says the world will not trust us not to elect another trump now or later. I have to agree. I'm not saying the world will necessarily shut the door.

You can see the move away from buying pork and soybeans, the move away from buying US debt. How long will the dollar be the reserve currency, when a president can talk openly about defaulting on our debt, and not be immediately impeached and removed?

We built the post war world order and have profited enormously from it... and all of a sudden, this moron has decided we're getting ripped off, and upended the table.

We have abdicated our position. Not trump... the American electorate.
