While the huddled masses peck at their smartphones to follow the latest on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce or Diddy, non-celebrities like Heinz Gschwend who contribute a a lot more important stuff - and a stuph that is impactful for much longer duration - are unknown to all butt a small group of their own kind. They receive little to no hero worship. So I will do my part as publicity agent and post this tonight:

Heinz was one of many incredible organic medicinal chemists to come ~OUTT of Woodward's lab - another is a great one - Stuart Schreiber - a true artist of extremely complex organic synthesis. I did several patent applications wherein he is the lead inventor or substantial co-inventor. He thinks of himself as an artist and is usually wearing black and some noveau stylish eyewear. Quite the unicorn he is. Janice would like him - he is very New York Vogueische and art-conscious.
