When the 10K came out I was very upset about one particular part in the 10K which indicated a huge delay in the MHRA and that is not the text about the cancelled ASCO event. I have to revisit this part from the last 10K:

I have no idea what the reasoning for the 'delay' or the longer than expected turnaround is.

Cancelling ASCO was the signal. Not the reason. The reason may well be the PIP. But including the cancellation of ASCO in the 10K was NWBO's way of sending the message to investors not to expect MAA decision 'imminently'. They were prepping investors that it could (not definitively will), but could take a good bit longer.

Again, barring illegal manipulation of share price, there was only one good reason to include that ASCO statement in the K, and that was to signal to investors the wait could extend into June. No IR or C level person in their right mind would ever think that message could be taken any other way by investors.
